The much –anticipated “Bombshell” instructional stage make up DVD is collaboration between Princess Farhana and professional make up artist and belly dancer DeVilla, who has over twenty years of experience doing faces for feature films and television

“Bombshell” features complete step-by-step instruction for eight high -powered looks, great for dancers (or party girls) of any style. Instruction includes Arabic Eyes, Smokey Eyes, Silent Movie Star/1920’s, Retro Pin-Up, Swinging’ Sixties and Golden Goddess. There are also entire instructional segments on applying false eyelashes, base and primer, contouring, how-to’s for hooded eyes, and Asian eyes, and Mature Glamour…for women “of a certain age”- there’s something for everyone!

You will see Before and After shots of the dancers who are featured as models-which means with make up and without…and there is something for everyone on here: the women featured are of all ages, skin tones, hair colors and ethnic backgrounds.

Princess Farhana joined forces with Egyptian atelier King Of The Nile to create a line of belly dance costumes, hips-carves and class-wear. The costumes are based upon Princess Farhana’s own original Vintage Orientale designs, with influences from the 1920’s- 1940’s. They’re made in Egypt at the King Of The Nile atelier in Cairo, and loaded with big crystals. Both the costumes and class wear are available in a wide range of sizes and colors… Goddess Sized dancers and Petite dancers, this means YOU!

DRAMA QUEEN PERFORMANCE INTENSIVE FOR 2012-2013

Dance is like a living illustration of music, so in addition to great technique, the dancer needs to be vibrant and emotional on stage. However, though many dancers have beautiful technique, they don’t receive comprehensive training in theater arts.

Princess Farhana is offering her brand new Drama Queen Performance Intensive Worldwide. This 15-hour intensive is for dancers of intermediate-professional level who want to strengthen their creative process and performance skills, and/or create dramatic and conceptual belly dance pieces of any genre. In this intensive, you will earn invaluable tools to bring a dance from the very inception to a dazzling “finished product”. Just some of the material covered in this intensive: stage presence, dynamic entrances and exits, stage makeup, theater games and improvisation exercises, pantomime, lyrical dancing, effects of theatrical lighting on costumes, show structuring and much more. This intensive can be divided into three days with five hours of instruction per day OR two days with 7 ½ hours of instruction per day.

The Dangerous Beauties are a belly dance super-group composed of world-class performers, all from different cities. The brainchild of Northern California- based dancers Surreya Hada and Nyla Crystal; the other Beauties are Elizabeth Strong, Rose Harden, Dusty Paik, Farasha, Terri Del G, Katherine Summer and Princess Farhana. The first tour is taking place in May of 2012, and another will follow in late summer.
